Established in 1893, Abernethy Golf
Club is located on the B970 road between Grantown on Spey and
Coylumbridge, just north of Nethybridge. On most days, it is possible
to "walk on", without a reserved tee time. Families
are welcome and handicap certificates are not required. For those
without clubs there are a few sets for hire.
Abernethy is a traditional Highland golf course, built on natural
moorland, and surrounded by majestic pine trees. The course is
suitable for golfers of all standards. Casual visitors will cope
perfectly well with the friendly course layout while low handicappers
will need to bring their very best short game to score well.

At Carrbridge you can be sociable
or solitary, enter Scottish Golf competitions or play your own
matches, as the mood dictates, soaking up the atmosphere whilst
you enjoy your game. The natural hazards present at each hole,
in the form of burns, ditches and lie of the land together with
the preservation of as much native flora as can be afforded, makes
this at once a thought provoking and delightful course on which
to play.

Spey Valley Golf Club

| The
course measures almost 7200 yards in length |
|
The course
architect, Dave Thomas has been responsible for a large number of
golf course designs throughout the world and believes that his latest
design in the Highlands of Scotland could be one of the best yet.
With the river Spey flowing alongside some of the undulating fairways,
the silver birch lining the majority of holes and the Cairngorm
Mountains as a backdrop it is easy to see why the course will prove
to be a must play golfing venue for both the amateur and professional
golfer alike and further strengthen this wonderful part of Scotland
as a key golfing destination.

The Kingussie
golf course delivers stunning views and moderately easy walking
on upland terrain, with a few short climbs at the 4th and 8th holes.
In general the fairways are of a generous nature, but the course
is deceptive and position off the tee is an important consideration,
a factor often the key to low scoring. The course is kept in immaculate
order and offers excellent greens and fairways. Overall, the course
provides an excellent test of shot making, and is suited to all
levels of ability.
